TVland

It's me Clark Ludlow, you may remember me from such TV audiences as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in May 2008 or The Price is Right on December 8th. Well, I didn't get a lot of people asking about my TV debut on the Jay Leno Show, to be fair my ankles--which is all you can see of me in the footage--aren't super recognizable.

I think though with my latest small screen appearance on the Price is Right, people will be stopping me on the streets any day now, because there is a lot of yours truly all over that show, even though I never got called down. I went to the filming the show at the end of Sept when I was interning for a public affairs company in Los Angeles with my friends Janae, Leslea, and David. Although the illustrious Bob Barker was replaced by the considerably lamer Drew Carey, it was still a fun experience.

I just found out that I will be doing the internship again starting the beginning of January, thanks to my joblessness which is in thanks to the economy. I'm actually super excited to go back to LA. While I'm down there, I hopeflly can fit in a show taping or two. Watch for me in audiences of such shows as The Dr. Phil show and (cross your fingers) the next Ron Popeil infomercial.

Note: this was not actually my TV debut, I've been in the background on the evening news on at least 7 different occasions. Growing up in a crime capital home to Gary Condit, Scott Peterson, and the bank robbers who fled to my neighborhood to take people hostage has its advantages.

The First Blog (You Know Me)

This entry was actually written on September 14, 2008. I was just too lazy to actually start a blog, so I saved it in a Word document. Well world (or somebody bored enough to read this) here it is, my first blog. Don't be too harsh, I'm a sensitive boy.

So after a particularly swanky week, I feel it might be safe to say that I think I'm becoming a yuppie. This is a pretty divisive statement and that it's very possible that I might lose some friends from disclosing this. It seems pretty incredible that a yuppy could hail from Modesto, where one is more likely to see murders, mullets, and methaphedamine than culture or a college graduate. But I will supply evidence to this claim: most recently is the food I'm currently consuming in the car on work trip to San Jose from LA. While growing up during our yearly pilgramge from California to Utah, my family's road trip snacks were EZ Cheez on Rtiz crackers and if we were lucky we'd have Oreos. Now I am eating garlic and herb goat cheese on organic stone wheat crackers and Mint Milanos with some Trader Joe's Vitamin Enhanced Falvored Water to wash it down.

Here are some 3 more examples to prove my new-found obnoxious yuppiness:
-When I grew up I had a Happy Meal from McDonalds almost every Saturday with my dad. Last weekend I went to 25 Degrees, a hamburger place in LA that offers 13 different kinds of cheeses to top off a burger--mine had Crescenza and Prelibato Gorgonzola--as well as hundred's of wines.
- Friday night activity growing up: TGIF (Family Matters. Perfect Strangers, Full House, Step by Step, etc). This week: Tchaikovsky Spectacular at the Hollywood Bowl.
-TV watching growing up: bean bag in the family room. This week: Fall preview parties at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills. Catered with an open bar, of course.

I'm not sure what to think of this recent development. Sorry to all those whose are disappointed with me. I might not be able to ever show my face in Modesto again, but that's OK.
